BC BOXING HISTORY OF A BOXING HALL OF FAME: by Brian Zelley

THE STORY OF THE BCABHOF:                                   Back in 1984, there was a call for BOXING BC  to establish a BRITISH COLUMBIA AMATEUR BOXING HALL OF FAME, but in never happened,  But in 2010 six folks agreed to start the BCABHOF including,                   Brian Zelley Danny McGarvie, Ray Beaulieu,               Scott Galloway, Steve Wood and Steven Kodiak
                                                                                                In 2010 15 boxers and builders became the first inductees.  In January 2022, at least 10 will be selected for year 13.  The four administrators will be Brian Zelley, Joseph Pendry, Justin Pagani and Mehran "Hotstuff". However, after all these years, BOXING BC  may start a new BOXING BC HALL OF FAME

BC's Golden Gloves

The Golden Gloves Story: by Brian Zelley To understand the history of boxing in British Columbia, one needs to understand the Golden Gloves tournamnts. beginning in 1939 called the "Sun Golden Glove". The key person behind the tournament was Billy Finlay of The Vancouver Sun newspaper. )

BC Boxing Names

BC Boxing Names: Amateur boxing in the Province of British Columbia has stretched over many decades and took a new turn in 1939 with the introduction of the Sun Golden Gloves.  The names represent the many boxers and builders over the many decades.
